The Rotary cycle continues
While not specifically referring to “ride to conference”, it was indeed a great event leading up to an outstanding District Conference.
The marvellous presenters will be remembered for many years.
Starting with PDG Cathy Roth who challenged and encouraged the President’s Elect and Presidents at the Laurels over breakfast on Saturday morning,
The Hon Darren Chester MP who in his opening address clearly demonstrated his knowledge and appreciation of the work of the Rotary clubs throughout the District.
Dr Louise Mahler gave us an insight into the way we present ourselves and the manner in which that influences the way others respond to us.

The reception was held by the Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC early in March to celebrate the return to Melbourne of Mr Riseley and his wife Juliet.

A BIG night for Interplast

There was a full house of nearly 100 for the special District 9820 fundraising night for Interplast held by the Rotary Club of Seaford Carrum Downs recently.
Among the many club attending was the Rotary Club of Narre Warren which reported in its newsletter that more than $20,000 has been raised by clubs in the District. Donations from clubs were matched on a one-for-one basis by a sponsor who wished to remain anonymous.

Experience Casey

On Saturday 17 March community members learnt about the Rotary Club of Narre Warren through the club's stall at 'Experience Casey' at Bunjil Place.
Club members were excited to see the club mentioned mentioned in the Berwick News on Thursday 15th March when the banners were featured. The club's mission was to increase
the profile and positive public image of the club to help the club increase its membership, fundraising and connections to the community.

Gippsland Lakes Art on Show
Members of the Lakes Entrance Rotary Club were very busy at the club's recent annual Gippsland Lakes Art on Show which again proved a big success.
Club president Peter Sindrey reports: ``Visitor numbers were down a little, perhaps because of the spectacular weather and the heaps of other activities available in the area for both tourists and locals. Even so, we saw just under 1000 people come to Forestec to view the 300 pieces of art on show. We had a steady flow of art buyers, and art lovers, all keen to see what
the show had to offer.''
Peter has compiled a special report about the show which can be viewed HERE.
Improve your leadership skills
The next Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) sessions will be held at Nossal High School Berwick commencing on April 14.
The RLI is an international network of Rotary and provides a series of fast-paced, interactive, three one-day sessions designed to refine the leadership skills of Rotarians and increase their knowledge of Rotary. Courses are fun, topical, interactive and geared towards the modern Rotarian’s busy schedule.
